A passionate premium golf performance coach with a structured and dynamic approach to coaching

About Dean

Dean has a passion for coaching, with a core focus on improving golfing performance. For those players with experience and ability, he can make specific adjustments to take that player to the next level.

Dean trained under Lee Scarbrow at John O Gaunt Golf Club from 2005. He gained his PGA  degree and has been recognised for his dedication and hard work in the industry, receiving the accolade of Assistant Professional of the Year in 2016, while at Girton Golf Club.

For those serious about improving performance, Dean can identify the following, making the difference between good and elite golf:

  • technique improvements;

  • adjustments to posture;

  • treating the cause, not symptom of a problem;

  • changes to mental approach.

Dean helps players break though barriers, whether they have hit a wall with distance or putting accuracy and putting yips, or to fine tune tournament focus and ambition.

Dean is a great communicator, building client trust with his expertise and focused constructive feedback. He is an ambassador for TaylorMade and leads on the Premier Performance programme, where dedicated golfers work towards first class performance. As certified Science & Motion (SAM) putting instructor and certified TrackMan golf simulator trainer, Dean has the expertise and tools to transform performance.

Dean’s ethos is functionality over aesthetics. He believes that ‘the key to golf coaching is addressing the individual cause of the problem’ and from there, offering an entirely personalised coaching programme. The approach is holistic in that it understands how a player functions, what the player needs, turning shortfalls around, recognising the full potential of the individual and maximising that potential to reach elite performance standards.
